Description

Wyandot BHN is seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the HR department, serving as records manager, supporting recruitment and employment activities, facilitating the onboarding process for employees, and ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and compliance related to all Human Resources documentation and processes. This position is very data driven and requires excellent customer service skills. 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides accurate and timely support in the handling of a variety of administrative tasks. Produces effective and efficient written documentation, collects/tracks data, and accurately maintains information entered into the HRIS system. Coordinates meetings as requested.
  • Ensures maintenance of HR related documents, forms, and processes by updating forms and maintaining accurate documentation of processes.
  • Works in tandem with recruiters to manage the flow of applicant activity by managing the input and exchange of information between HR and managers.
  • Administers pre-employment and employment related activities: background screenings, health assessments, reference checks, skill testing and provides backup to benefit related activities. Produces and distributes communications and/or materials to applicants/new hires.
  • Assists recruiters with onboarding process by preparing offer letters, completing new hire set up (electronic and hard copy personnel files), facilitating first day orientation with HR, collects appropriate new hire forms, identification, and licensure documentation.
  • Ensures accurate completion and retention of I-9 and immigration compliance.
  • Functions as the ‘face’ of the department, promotes the department as a friendly, professional, and service-oriented entity and serves as point of contact for HR.
 
Position Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree with emphasis in human resources, communications, office management or related field. Equivalent experience may be substituted. College courses in general business, a plus.
  • Four years’ experience as an administrative assistant, including two years supporting more than one person.
  • Two years’ experience in a professional Human Resources environment, with emphasis in employment and recruiting, preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in an office environment with heavy emphasis on database management and production of reports.
  • Intermediate to advance level of proficiency using Microsoft Office products (e.g. word, excel, Outlook, PPT)
  • Working knowledge of Ascentis or other HRIS, a plus.
  • Excellent communication (oral/written) skills essential. Must have effective writing skills to produce correspondence independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task and shift priorities and demands dictate.
  • Capacity to sustain a high level of energy and work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Good aptitude and confidence in using various forms of web-based computer applications and knowledge of navigating the Internet essential.

Hours Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm  
Pay Range $37,000 - $42,000
