Position Summary

 

The Business Systems Analyst – SharePoint Specialist is responsible for the management and support of the Grant PUD’s SharePoint platform services, such as Workflow and Search engines. The ideal candidate has the technical skills to ensure the platform is running optimally, automate manual maintenance tasks to meet business needs and provide N-Tier support to end users for Workflows and other platform solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

Actively participate in the delivery of technology solutions and support the creation of artifacts related to business process enhancements and issues. Participate in efforts to produce documentation to support project delivery and define information architecture, including: Technical requirements, functional specifications, data flow diagrams, test cases, requirements traceability matrices, user stories and use case documentation.

 

Perform N-Tier support and meet established SLAs for the utility’s enterprise on-prem and cloud SharePoint environments.

 

Perform assigned tasks and follow through with minimal guidance and effectively manage multiple projects or tasks at any given time, setting priorities, schedules and meeting deadlines.

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

 

Design, Organize, Document, Build, Test and deploy workflows, enhancements, updates and bug fixes to the utility’s Enterprise SharePoint environments.

 

Participate in the planning, development and execution of test plans and suites to ensure the functional and system requirements have been met.

 

Engage multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization and manage expectations, facilitating meetings and communications.

 

Effectively prioritize and manage workload, including a variety of tasks with conflicting priorities. Perform query, analysis and reporting activities against moderately complex data models.

 

Other tasks as assigned.

 

Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & procedures.

 

Actively participate in all aspects of our safety program, including but not limited to:

  • Accepting feedback from supervisors and coworkers regarding your own safety performance.
  • Reporting any safety incidents or close calls within 24 hours, and
  • Alerting supervisors and coworkers to unsafe or hazardous working conditions;
  • Following all safety policies and procedures;

Education/Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or other relative technical degree (equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree).

 

Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, with demonstrated results with stakeholder engagement.

 

At least 2 years of experience Supporting SharePoint platform/applications.

 

Thorough knowledge of principles in Application Lifecycle Maintenance, SDLC and software testing.

 

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Self-starter and able to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment serving many stakeholders with conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify and understand business needs and translate to strategic direction, plans and solutions.
  • Ability to quickly act and triage issues in a crisis to make decisions and keep key stakeholders informed.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services, Azure, or other cloud-based systems a plus.
  • Experience in Agile and linear project management disciplines preferred.
  • High degree of technical competence and a deep understanding of the SDLC methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with database or scripting languages such as T/SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, BASH, etc. a plus.
  • Experience integrating and deploying COTS solutions.
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops (ADO), SharePoint, MSSQL and Oracle databases in addition to SQL Management Studio and/or SQL Developer
  • Experience with Nintex workflows and/or Nintex forms preferred.
  • Proficient with SharePoint 2013 (or higher) workflows and the workflow engine, including monitoring farm-wide workflows for errors, performance issues and troubleshooting.

 

Special Requirements

A valid State driver’s license is required.

 

Physical Requirements

 

Majority of work is performed in a standard office setting. Ability to operate a motor vehicle is required. May perform work in a telecommuting setting.
