Description

Position Overview: Leads a team responsible for the daily operations of a service division within Crux. The position involves procurement, deployment, coordination, care and repair of all equipment assets, including but not limited to: rolling stock; drilling and ancillary equipment; facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations

  • Work with Operations, Accounting, Safety and related Crux teams to develop a strategic approach to Fleet Management, including but not limited to maximization of capital expenditures.
  • Develops, implements and maintains policies, practices and procedures that ensures work is performed in a safe, effective manner. Responsible for developing and maintaining small tools and equipment budgets, costs, and indirect allocations; identifying discrepancies and maintaining appropriate resources to accomplish scheduled jobs. Responsible for procurement of parts and equipment where financially and logistically appropriate.
  • Ensures proper administration of fleet, state, federal and local licensing and International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) tracking and reporting systems and compliance
  • Responsible for equipment and tools maintenance tracking including development and implementation of a system to efficiently identify scheduled maintenance needs and recall equipment as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and appropriately equipped warehouse and real time inventory and location of Crux property and equipment.
  • Ensures effective communication and programs regarding analysis of DOT requirements for load specifications, planning and coordinating transport of materials in a safe, efficient and compliant manner. Coordinates with Safety and Human Resource to ensure qualified operators per equipment specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring fleet and equipment are appropriate and will function at field locations prior to dispatch; including review of ancillary and equipment needs are in appropriate repair (i.e. belts, hoses, adaptors, connectors, etc.)Provides analysis and execution of preventive and urgent maintenance needs regarding Crux assets.
  • Ensures review and appropriate utilization of external sources for repair, maintenance and procurement related to critical operations.
  • Develops process to track and trend maintenance and repair items and cost as well as useful life monitoring and repair/replace analysis of all Crux fleet.
  • Coordinates with Crux Logistics department in shipping and delivery of Crux-owned equipment and serves as resource and knowledge base of shipping restrictions and requirements
  • Coordinates with Operations and Shop Management to ensure return to service equipment is field ready and repair/replace determinations are performed routinely
  • Ensures review of operational efficiency, business development activities and safe production of products related to Inland Pacific Drill Supply.
  • Ensures efficient and appropriate triage of field-based fleet needs and immediate response to concerns, troubleshooting and inquiries.
  • Ensures audit and review of organizational facilities, including appropriate utilization, maintenance and repair and coordinates security of assets.
  • Provides oversight and support for equipment design and fabrication in accordance with specific needs and coordinates appropriate engineering review and design and operation criteria to be distributed upon deployment.

Personnel Management

  • Maintains an onsite presence and is directly responsible for oversight and supervision of: Warehouse; Fabrication Shop; Inland Pacific Drill Supply; Specialty Asset Manager
  • Oversee the coordination of work, training of employees, and evaluate performance of employees resources, counsels, records, and issues discipline as necessary.
  • Assesses employee needs, ensuring subordinates are properly trained and adhere to company policies, practices and procedures.
  • Develop supervisors to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned resources.
  • Evaluates and meets with subordinates to discuss work performance providing appropriate commendations and disciplinary actions to ensure employees are well equipped to meet and/or exceed job expectations.
  • Supervises projects, and providing direction and assistance as required.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and update of safety culture and programs related to fleet facilities and personnel.

Finance & Accounting

  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and fixed asset budget; identifying discrepancies and maintaining appropriate resources to accomplish scheduled jobs. Responsible for procurement of parts and equipment where financially and logistically appropriate.
  • Oversees administration of all systems required to manage Crux fleet, including but not limited to: Fixed Asset Accounting within JDE; Verizon Fleet Connect.

Skills/Requirements:

  • Must have supervisory skills with the ability to create a professional and constructive environment that fosters a team-oriented and customer service approach to day-to-day operations.
  • Experience and familiarity with development, implementation and maintenance of inventory tracking systems to support multiple locations.
  • Highly organized with demonstrated ability to prioritize needs and accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to quickly process needs to respond to time critical requests
  • Excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
  • Prior experience with managing depreciation schedules and completing repair/replace analysis
  • Commercial Driver's License Preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to utilize basic Microsoft office products and computer skills to maintain tracking software and required records.
  • Prior experience and familiarity with hydraulic systems and drilling systems preferred.
