Low Voltage / Access Control Technician

LaForce is looking for a Low Voltage / Access Control Technician for our growing Security Integration department to install and service security, video surveillance, and electro-mechanical products. LaForce, Inc. is a leader in the door, frame and hardware industry servicing the growing field of commercial construction.

Major Responsibilities

  • Installation of new material such as Access control, CCTV systems, Intercom’s, Security Systems and electrical hardware.
  • Make adjustments to or troubleshooting of new and existing material.
  • Disassembly and removal of electrical product and or door hardware.
  • Operate various power and hand tools both safely and skillfully.
  • Produce quality results in most efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Represent company professionally to satisfy immediate customer needs and to foster return business.
  • Provide “As-built” wiring diagrams at the completion of projects to be added to job files for historical purposes.
  • Communicate daily with customers, sales staff and supervisors on job related issues in a professional and constructive manner.


  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. NICET Certification a plus.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Knowledge of fractions, decimals, reading and using measuring tapes and rulers.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a good driving record
