Inventory Specialist  

Description

Position Summary

Ensures proper material flow through warehouse by taking regular inventory counts, documenting finished goods, ingredients, and packaging/warehouse materials. Organization and attention to detail are critical to this position. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for re-arranging/re-organizing the warehouse based on conditions during the week and report any deficiencies in goods received to Quality Assurance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate and timely daily inventory counts
  • Recording inventory of finished goods, ingredients, and other warehouse materials
  • Assist with organization of warehouse, and setting up inventory for use in production
  • Using Excel, to enter data onto inventory reports digitally via Surface tablets
  • Collection and documentation of any ingredients and packaging going to off-site facilities
  • Communicating effectively across various departments to ensure accuracy of inventory counts
  • Using NetSuite (ERP portal) to review and audit inventory before/after counts
 
Position Requirements
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment, and adapt to potential changes to schedule, job requirements, and daily priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision to complete daily tasks.
  • Responsibilities may require extended hours (up to 10-11 hours) once per month for End of Month inventory counts. Additional requirements may include, adjustments to work schedule, overtime, and evening/weekend hours.
  • Proficient experience in Microsoft Excel, and basic competency in Microsoft office Word and Outlook.
  • Will be required to work in wet environment with temperatures below 40*F
  • Must be able to work early mornings regularly.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • Produce background is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • English speaking required, Spanish speaking is a plus
