Peterson Brothers is a holding company with over 30 years of experience in multiple industries. The owners are looking for an accountant who is able to grow to become a member of the management team. If needed, you’ll have the resources and expertise of the holding company to provide support, guidance and answers to your questions. Because this position will be working across multiple business units, the duties are varied, which make each week different from the last. Your core responsibilities include: Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Customer Contracts (or Purchase Orders) Financial Statements Banking & Cash Management Payroll Produce and submit payroll tax reports – quarterly and year-end. Deal with Audits Purchasing and Vendor Management Human Resources Manage Unemployment claims Create or revise policies or procedures to strengthen our processes Cost Accounting This position offers great benefits including company-provided health insurance for you and your family; dental and vision insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; a 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match; and three-weeks paid vacation and personal days.   Position Requirements   Successful candidates will be non-smokers who have the following required skills and attributes: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. At least 5-years’ experience in accounting  At least 3-year's experience in cost accounting Good writing skills High attention-to-detail Experience with accounting software Proficiency with MS Office products Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Preferred Experience/Skills/Personal Attributes: Payroll MBA or CPA Accounts receivable Vendor management Financial statements Human resources A strong need for correctness. High conscientious. High alacrity – willing to do multiple jobs outside of marketing Cheerful and friendly Our office is located in Cranberry Township.
