Description

HSE is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician that is motivated, organized, personable and willing to contribute his/her experience and expertise in the area of inspections, service & maintenance and installation of fire alarm and Life Safety systems in Sarnia and surrounding areas. Organization and accuracy are key factors with respect to correspondence, and paperwork. In this challenging and rewarding position, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing annual and monthly inspections and tests of fire alarm and suppression systems
  • Completing all inspection reports and log books as required in a timely and concise manner
  • Performing field repairs, tracing, and trouble shooting as required
  • Installing, programing, and verifying fire alarm panels, devices, and suppression systems
  • Performing emergency on-call repairs as part of a regular rotation
 
Position Requirements
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) registration
  • Proficient in operating and servicing most brands of fire alarm panels and suppression systems
  • Experience performing monthly and annual inspections of all Life Safety systems as well as installation of systems
  • Experience with field repairs, strong fault tracing, and trouble shooting skills would be an asset
  • Experience with computer based reporting systems
  • Excellent English language skills in both written and verbal communication
  • Ability to obtain security clearances
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
  • VESDA certification would be an asset
