Description

The Group Product Manager leads a product portfolio and high-performing team of geographically-distributed Product Managers. You will be an entrepreneurial thinker and responsible for defining and driving a strategy for your portfolio to solve market problems and achieve key product health metrics. This role is deeply cross-functional; critical to your success is the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with leaders across Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Client Success. Centered around our cultural norms, you will relentlessly deliver on commitments and collaborate fearlessly to support aggressive revenue growth targets for Ascentis in the $18 billion HCM software industry.

Position Requirements

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in SaaS product management to include leading concurrent streams of work with multiple teams and roadmaps.
  • Ability to conduct market, competitor, and custom research to gather insights and assess market opportunities.
  • Experience owning, prioritizing and driving a product strategy to meet market and business needs.
  • Experience managing a team of Product Managers with positive measurable results.
  • Experience leading products through the full life cycle from inception to end of life.
  • Enough technical knowledge to speak intelligently with Engineering leadership to ask the right questions to assess impact of technology considerations on product strategy.
  • Ability to communicate directly and clearly, modulating delivery to meet wide variety of audiences from internal leaders to escalated customers to front line engineers.
  • Moderate travel required to Ascentis locations, clients, and industry events

Education/experience/technical considerations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in the Human Capital Management (HCM) industry preferred.
  • Ability to partner with Product Marketing to create clear value propositions, messaging strategies and collateral.
  • Ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Scrum standards to coach and influence effectiveness and efficiency of processes.
