General Purpose of Position
Job includes direct contact with DL residents, customers and staff. Job includes various inventory and money counting responsibilities. Health Department Certification required within 6 months of accepting the position.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Stocking and ordering of needed food and supplies for Convenience Store.
- Maintains a balanced cash drawer at all times while on duty.
- Maintains a verifiable drawer balance at the end of each shift.
- Communicates regularly with Convenience Store Manager.
- Opens and/or closes Store on time during his or her shift.
- Encourages positive sales with a friendly attitude and approach to the customer.
- Maintains orderliness and SUPERB cleanliness in Store.
- Rotates stock assuring no foods for sale are out of date.
- Stocks store with necessary items used for the next shift.
- Recognizes Health Department guidelines and respects inspectors.
- Post, calculates and analyzes sales on register tape daily.
- Maintains professional control of training and encouragement of resident workers.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Convenience Store Manager
