About the Organization Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG), is a leading provider of linen management services to the healthcare and hospitality industries.

Logan's Linens and Logan's Uniform Rental & Services in Shelbyville, KY, established in 1925, created a platform for future growth and expansion in 2009.

Superior Health Linens, Cudahy WI, established in 1990, was merged with Logan's in 2016 and offers several distinct processing plants in the mid-west.

Textile Care Services in Rochester, MN, established in 1915, serving both the healthcare and hospitality market was the most recent investment in the group's expansion plans in 2017.

HLSG currently operates nine state-of-the-art laundry processing facilities in four states delivering over 150 million pounds of assorted quality linens into both the healthcare and hospitality markets.

As an outsourced provider, we partner with healthcare administrators, clinicians and staff to deliver a wide variety of comfortable, bacteria free linens to thousands of hospitals, physician offices, surgery centers, and nursing homes.

Job Description

The Linen Distribution Tech provides a superior level of linen service throughout the hospital in a friendly and timely manner.

Job Hours Full Time, 1 shifts:

5a - 1:30pm 

Hours may be subject to change

 

Job Specifications

  • Reports to the Linen Utilization Manager
  • Delivers clean linen carts to nursing and ancillary units
  • Ensures linen area / room is clean at the end of each shift
  • Builds carts for the following day
  • Complies with SHL Linen distribution policies and procedures
  • Maintains inventory records
  • Collects and loads soiled linen into carts from soil collection areas
  • Fills carts daily to establish par levels
  • Tracks usage through either an electronic device or on a spreadsheet
  • Ensures linen quality is satisfactory, and reports to Linen Utilization Manager concerning any quality issues
  • Responds to manager pages
  • Complies with SHL Safety Programs and training
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by department manager
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must be able to take and follow direction.
  2. Maintain acceptable body hygiene and appearance per employee Hand book and client location standards.
  3. Stand for extended periods of time.
  4. Physically able to lift, push, pull, bend, kneel, twist, and move rolling carts (up to 600+ lbs.) throughout the day, with ability to load linen above one’s head and from ground level to standing upright.
  5. Physically able to collect and lift soiled bags throughout the facility.
  6. Pack at a speed to complete 20+ exchange carts per day.
  7. Distinguish between different linen items through touch and vision.
  8. Able to complete duties accurately.
  9. Must be able to read and write English.
  10. Must be able to accurately perform simple mathematics.
  11. Must be punctual.
  12. Must understand and observe all safety guidelines and recommendations.
