Be available to speak with donor families regarding their questions, concerns and requests during weekday hours. Fulfill daily requests for displays at the funeral of donors. Refer families, as needed, to appropriate community organizations and resources. Review all correspondence between donor families and transplant recipients and facilitate direct communication when appropriate. Interact with other organ procurement organizations, local transplant centers, eye bank and tissue bank partners to obtain updates on recipients' progress and to speak at transplant support groups on topics related to the donation and transplantation process.   Position Requirements MSW with a minimum of one year working in a social work or counseling setting. Must possess excellent communication skills both in person and over the phone and a demonstrated ability to work with community organizations and diverse populations. Experience working with death and bereavement issues, families and grief counseling. Understanding of and experience working in diverse communities, as well as strong multicultural community contacts Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Ability to work 30-40 hours a week for up to 4 months beginning early May.
