What are the objectives/goals of the position?

•Learn about the Translational Sciences within immuno-oncology while taking part in a key bioanalytical project that will support future clinical trials.

•Gain and/or expand on laboratory and data analysis skills in a fast pace industry environment which will further growth in the career as a scientist.

•Develop multiplex PK assays to support  AstraZeneca combination immuno-oncology clinical trials.

What are the primary duties of this position? 

•Design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement PK immunoassays to quantify drug levels in biological matrices.

•Utilize multiple technology platforms including MSD, SIMOA SPX, SQI and colorimetric or luminescent plate readers.

•Conduct bioanalytical sample analysis and data review to support upcoming clinical studies in a GLP-compliant laboratory environment.

•Present work and data at regular small team meetings and larger group meetings.

 
Position Requirements

What technical skills are required? 

  • Currently Seeking candidates pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Analytical Science, etc.
  • Basic lab experience and lab safety knowledge required (e.g. pipetting, solution prep, assays, following SOPs/kits, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve challenging lab problems.
  • Strong biology background and understanding of antibody therapeutics.
  • Familiar with data analysis and data presentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills.

To participate in the AstraZeneca Intern Program

Students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Enrollment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program, returning to the academic program following AstraZeneca assignment
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.2 preferred
  •  At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Completed at least two years of undergraduate studies
