We are seeking a Senior Financial Specialist (NAVAIR) to join our team in Patuxent River, Maryland. The ideal candidates will:

  • Work with the Navy ERP to provide business process support (including financial management)

  • Support Program Managers for monthly invoice review for accuracy and completeness.

  • Coordinate with the NAVAIR Accounting Department to complete the following:

    • Coordinate with the team to prevent gaps in funding, contractual issues impacting operations and Period of Performance issues.

    • Assist Program Managers with ad-hoc requests from external organizations.

    • Assist Program Managers with monthly financial reporting requirements by contract.


 

 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • MS or MA degree in a Business, Management, or Accounting/Financial discipline from an accredited institution. In lieu of a Master's, you may have a BS or BA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience.
  • Eight (8) years of financial management experience. Financial management experience should include financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, program status reports, and demonstrated knowledge of DoD Federal Management Regulations (FMR), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and PPBE. 
  • Five (5) years of DoN procurement policies and procedures experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Navy ERP is required.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
