Share Email Opening Title Operations Management   Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following.  Other duties may be assigned Drives execution in the factory as a support function and resource for assigned business unit team. The business unit team should expect support from the Manufacturing Manager in the areas listed below and additional support as predicated by Operations Management when needed. Execution of schedule work by managing productivity and sequencing of work in respective areas / work cells Production employee management Staffing On-boarding Coaching Cross training Build Quality Performance Management Control and manage WIP throughout the factory Support meetings with the business unit team to ensure communication Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Proficient in Lean Manufacturing Techniques. Must have a demonstrated track record of leading and developing people. Requires a minimum of 2 years with direct people responsibilities e.g. hiring, firing, promoting, etc. Education and/or Experience: Required a 2-year degree plus a minimum of 4 years direct industry experience Prefered Skills: 4-year degree plus a minimum of 8 years direct industry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
