Share Email Opening Title VP, Corporate Controller  Category Accounting/Finance   Description The Vice President, Corporate Controller will lead the company’s day-to-day accounting operations, internal and external reporting, treasury, and tax functions. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer, manages 3-5 direct reports, and leads a broader team of 25+ team members.   The Corporate Controller will:   Lead the Company’s accounting operations and reporting functions Manage the financial close process and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. Communicate monthly and annual results to private equity ownership and lenders. Act as the primary resource for technical accounting issues and ensure compliance with all GAAP pronouncements and financial policies and procedures. Ensure an efficient and effective system of internal controls and provide leadership in improving the internal control environment. Act as the primary point of contact with external auditors and coordinate the year-end audit.   Lead the Company’s treasury and tax functions Oversee the cash forecasting process and cash management to ensure alignment with company strategy and policies. Lead the implementation of treasury system solutions to improve treasury processes and transactions. Lead and develop the existing treasury and tax teams to support the overall growth of the company. Manage all corporate tax and tax-related compliance activities.   Partner with divisional leadership to drive strategic initiatives Lead the department in preparing budgets and forecasts and in analyzing results throughout the year. Analyze and report on trends in key performance indicators associated with the business. Develop and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with key business leaders and provide solutions for new initiatives. Provide support for M&A activities including due diligence, analysis and management of post-transaction activities.   Position Requirements Corporate Controller candidates must have: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or MBA highly preferred. 10+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years in a supervisory role. Prior public accounting and/or technical accounting experience a plus. Prior retail, franchising and/or experience in a private equity ownership environment a plus. Advanced skill level using Microsoft Office products (specifically Excel and PowerPoint). Strong analytical and executive-level communication skills.
