Description

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Line Service this position is responsible for providing fuel, oil, hangar and tie-Down storage, courtesy car transportation, luggage handling, aircraft/helicopter movement and interior and exterior cleaning services to customers and other departments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drives and services fuel trucks and ground support vehicles, services aircraft and ground support vehicles with fuel, oil and all other supplies and materials which may be required by the aircraft or vehicle; responsible for operating and filling of fuel trucks; inspection, cleaning, servicing, operating and performing minor maintenance to his equipment.
  • Operates the bulk fuel storage system, takes physical inventory of petroleum and other department products, tabulates and maintains all required records, takes fuel tests, orders and receives the products normally utilized by the department.
  • Parks, tows, and stores aircraft; directs the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in and about the shops and hangars of the Company's facilities; and properly secures all parked aircraft at all times.
  • Assists all aircraft crews and passengers by courteously providing services they may desire and aids in inplaneing and deplaneing passengers, baggage and cargo.
  • Provides Lav, water and De-Ice service. Provides customers with ice and coffee service as required as well as cleans dishes and removes trash from aircraft as requested.
  • Removes Regulated Garage and dispositions per company and regulatory procedure.
  • Washes, polishes, wax and clean the interior and exterior of Company and/or itinerant aircraft.
  • Washes and cleans mobile equipment and runs local errands and transports people as required both on and off the airport.
  • Complete necessary receipts, fuel tickets and records.
  • Receives and accounts for all sales transactions in the absence of the operations agent.
  • Responsible for radio and telephone calls, insures that the information is acted upon or relayed to the proper department of individual.
  • Police ramp areas in and about hangars, lounge areas, shops and auto parking areas of the company.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and maintenance of the areas in and about the Company's facilities including hangar floors, shops, maintenance areas, employees' locker rooms, lavatories, and performs trash removal as required.
  • Assists with snow removal as required.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Aircraft/Helicopter movement, fueling and handling experience
  • Must have license as required by government, state and airport regulations to operate vehicular and radio equipment.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
