This job is for you if… You're interested in a meaningful job where you'll work with a variety of technology solutions and be appreciated for doing your job well When you see things that need improved you get working on a solution You enjoy collaborating with highly skilled professionals with a passion for technology You want to join a culture that embraces dynamic individuals with a focus on innovation A day in the life… Document, maintains, and communicates current client on-premises and cloud infrastructures Develops forward thinking models that support IT strategy and architecture Develops, recommends, and implements a migration strategy to move from the current technical platforms to the future technical architecture Defines and prioritizes the approach to implement the migration strategy Consults in the design or selection of new systems and technical infrastructure projects Architect, design, and implement virtualized/converged, software-defined, and cloud-based infrastructures Leads and participates in departmental projects, ensuring that projects are clearly defined, systematically executed, fully documented, and business results oriented Adherence to project management processes and standards within Advizex Deploy, upgrade, and migrate vSphere environments; including the underlying storage Perform workload migrations using VMware native features Provide advanced technical services during the post-sales cycle Share information and best practices with other team members Provide support and mentoring to less experienced engineers Produce documentation and provide detailed knowledge transfer to customers Perform technical hands-on integration of various products mentioned below   Position Requirements What we are looking for… Required Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of seven years of experience in systems engineering with an emphasis on virtualized environments, especially on VMware vSphere 3+ years’ experience with converged and hyperconverged infrastructures such as vBlock, VxRail, Simplivity, etc. Solid experience with server operating systems - Linux and Windows Server Current VCP certification with a VCAP Preferred in Data Center or Network Virtualization competencies Experience in physical-to-virtual server migrations Deep experience with enterprise storage infrastructure – Dell/EMC and/or HPE Experience with SAN fabric switching – Cisco and/or Brocade fiber channel networking Deep experience with storage replication technologies such as RecoverPoint, VMware SRM, etc. Experience with physical server deployment – HPE Proliant or Synergy, Dell servers, Cisco UCS Some experience with LAN networking – i.e. top-of-rack switching, VLANs, port channels, etc. Strong experience implementing best practices in an end-user environment Ability to prioritize tasks and work assignments Ability to professionally interact with clients and contractors Prior customer-facing position as a professional services consultant Experience producing business relevant presentations and technical oriented writing Core Competencies Passion for learning innovative technologies Ability to break down problems and identify all their facets Flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done Effective communication skills both internally and externally Highly organized and detail oriented Optional LAN, WAN, wireless Solutions - Cisco, Arista, Aruba, etc. Experience with mainstream network and systems monitoring suites Scripting and infrastructure automation – Shell scripting, Powershell, Ansible, Terra Form, etc. Experience with container technologies - Docker, Kubernetes, PKS, etc. Experience with data protection technologies – IDPA, Avamar, Data Domain, Netbackup, etc. Experience engineering or architecting public cloud infrastructures – AWS and/or Azure Experience with VMware vCloud Foundation or VWC on AWS What you’ll get… A career with a company where you will be challenged, respected, and valued A career with a company that’s invested in your personal development, will offer a solid compensation package, and provides a great team environment The people here do their jobs well, care about one another, care about our customers, and exercise good ethics and judgement Our team members health and wellness is our priority as well as rewarding them for their hard work.   Location Independence   Req Number INF-20-00011   This position is currently not accepting applications.
