POSITION SUMMARY: The Junior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for some HR Generalist duties within the organization and providing support to the HR department.

 
Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration

  • Manage the certification program per the Employee Career Development policy.
  • Process certification registrations and provide applicants with necessary study materials.
  • Support the Office Managers in providing continual training of staff as requested.
  • Provide updates on staff’s training status on a continual basis.
  • Assist in performing remote training at key points in MWEC training programs.
  • Support the PMT with development and delivery of special educational events for staff.
  • Send reminders of certification renewals and answer general certification/continuing education questions.
  • Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by Director.
  • Partners with internal HR team, external teams and/or vendors to troubleshoot system issues and downtime.
  • Monitors the HR Help Desk log and supports HR Director for resolution and analysis of trends.
  • Create id badges and maintain the data in the software used for location security.
  • Backup the functions of the HR Assistant as needed.

Reporting

  • Analyze HR reports.
  • Monitors HR and end user needs.
  • Audit and support data integrity in the HR systems.

 

Process Improvement

  • Participates as core team member on HR process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyzes structure and flow of work through organization and HR department; recommends system and/or business process changes to improve operations of the organization and/or HR department.

Communication

  • Provides communication avenues to all internal employees (newsletter, weekly manager tips, etc.)

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as HR Generalist
  • Experience with Human Resource Management software is preferred.
