The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) Developmental Disability (DS) Division has one full-time position available in the REACH program for qualified individuals responsible for supervising clinical staff that support individuals with intellectual disabilities. The preferred candidate will have knowledge and experience in community based intellectual disability services, principles of person-centered planning, crisis response experience, quality assurance, and clinical/administrative supervision. This position will require the ability to participate in a supervisory on-call schedule.
Essential Functions
Supervises clinical and case management activities; ensures health, safety and welfare of clients; plans, organizes, directs and supervises assigned staff; supervises crisis interventions.
Sets program priorities; monitors and evaluates service delivery in accordance with established guidelines and principles; develops and enforces program policies and procedures.
Assists in the recruitment and selection of program personnel; assigns, directs, trains and inspects the work of staff; disciplines, coaches, counsels and evaluates staff performance; recommends suspensions and termination; develops staff schedules and approves leave.
Conducts meetings to discuss client/program/staff concerns or changes; consults with teams and committees in the planning and development of treatment and discharge plans; coordinates admissions and discharges of clients.
Monitors and audits clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory, reimbursement and agency standards; reviews documentation for accuracy.
Conducts direct care with clients; performs intakes, client assessments and diagnostic interviews; assists clients with activities of daily living.
Provides crisis intervention and prevention services to individuals and families; develops crisis response plans; provides consultation and education to staff and clients.
Consults and coordinates treatment with other service providers and client support system.
Conducts community outreach presentations to local community partners and other service providers.
Reviews, tracks and analyzes reports; prepares and submits reports.
Manages program budgets; reviews accuracy of program and contract billing; reviews service activity logs; submits payroll/timesheets to Finance.
Prepares and distributes correspondence to staff to improve communication and shares important announcements, deadlines, changes, etc.
Serves on a variety of committees as directed; attends and participates in a variety of meetings.
Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
