Description

The Language Sales Account Manager is responsible for pursuing and acquiring new business through a sound acquisition strategy and for developing strategic relationships that increase the company's market share in the foreign language services industry. Must have Language Sales experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and/or exceed annual sales quotas;
  • Follow a methodological, sound and proven sales strategy;
  • Develop clients through daily sales activities including internet-sourcing, cold-calling, networking, attending events, face-to-face customer meetings, etc.;
  • Manage and track sales activities from lead identification through proposal and execution;
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects in order to meet or exceed sales goals;
  • Identify and attend key industry conferences, symposiums, tradeshows, etc.;
  • Provide professional presentations and capabilities briefings to potential clients;
  • Respond to Request for Proposals, including negotiating commercial pricing and contractual arrangements;
  • Successfully educate prospective clients on the company's capabilities, strengths, and differentiators;
  • Stay up to date with each client's industry, culture and business needs in order to provide a higher level of customer experience;
  • Appropriately manage client expectations;
  • Resolve and track customer issues in a timely manner from resolution to implementation and close-out;
  • Keep abreast of the Language industry, including changes, trends, competition, and other significant information while keeping other team members informed;
  • Work closely with internal project managers to define the most advantageous solution for the client, ensuring client satisfaction with product quality and delivery;
  • Track sales activities on company database, including updating and maintaining customer account records;
  • Assist and/or lead with marketing initiatives and activities to increase company visibility;
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

 
Position Requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • University degree or equivalent (required)
  • Minimum 5-8 years prior sales experience within the language services industry
  • Proven track record in reaching sales targets
  • Experience using a CRM

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data sets to determine trends, establish strategies, and make decisions
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate across diverse audiences
  • Ability to multi-task as well as be strategic, creative and innovative in a dynamic, fast-paced matrix team environment
  • Proven ability to complete goals/projects on time delivering high-quality results
  • Strong commitment to quality and customer service
  • Excellent computer skills with common Office applications

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is generally performed in an office setting
  • A moderate amount of travel away from the office may be required
