The Cheer Pack N.A. (CPNA) Marketing Assistant will assist the CPNA VP of Marketing with various Marketing and Product Management functions. Primary responsibilities include analyzing retail sales (e.g. IRI) consumption data, develop PowerPoint presentations, assist in creating lead generation campaigns with our creative agency and develop our corporate branding. The MI will also assist in three-planned CPNA strategic initiatives: new website with effective SEO, new trade show booth and new full line brochure. Additional responsibility details are provided below.

Education

  • Currently enrolled in at least a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Management, or related Business field from an accredited college or university.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Minimum of two years of relevant school and / or work experience required.
  • Minimum of intermediate level proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required.
  • Knowledge of Social media
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.
 
Position Requirements

Competencies:

  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong Analytical Skills – Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Excel.
    • Professional Presentation Skills – Ability to use PowerPoint to develop persuasive sales presentations.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly present information and ideas through a variety of mediums including verbal, written, and imagery, helping the audience understand and retain the message.
  • Interpersonal skills: Displays a positive, proactive work ethic and approach. Ability to work independently and on a team, displaying diplomacy in day-to-day interactions and working effectively with internal and external partners.
  • Planning and Organization: Strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and time management. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment to effectively meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Analyze using Excel and present in PowerPoint summary form retail sales (e.g., IRI) and similar consumption data
    • Reference information is readily available to assist with this task.
  • Assist in the creation of external sales collateral / presentations, infographics and internal training materials (e.g., Rules of Engagement) of current product lines and Innovation initiatives. This includes mini-case studies and ‘Target and Grow’ market-specific presentations.
  • Assist in creating a new CPNA / HY / OP (HY and OP are strategic partners) trade show booth for the November PackEx show
  • Assist in developing a new CPNA website including establishing an effective SEO.
    • The CPNA site may include a password-protected sales training ‘toolbox’.
  • Assist in developing a new full line brochure.
  • Distribute relevant ‘Industry Intelligence’ market intel
  • Modify the monthly Sales Team report to make them more user-friendly.
  • Design pouches. For example, the Advance™ PCR-content pouch.
  • Maintain and distribute the CPNA Marketing Calendar.
  • Assist with developing our MarCom lead-generation campaign with our creative agency.
  • Lead role in optimizing our social media platform (currently Cheer Pack N.A. has a LinkedIn and Facebook page) to drive awareness and demand.
  • Assist in developing sell sheets for key product lines and innovation introductions.
  • Actively research market trends and consumer insights distilling the information into presentation and sell sheet Marketing Communication (MarCom) materials.
  • Assist in the ongoing development of the CHEER PACK® brand.
  • Assist in redesigning our front entrance with emphasis on upgrading our CHEER PACK® and strategic partners display area.
  • Assist in developing a sustainability communication tool.
  • Assist in developing a tool communicating our Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology working with our IT Director.
  • Assist with market research initiatives e.g., focus groups, consumer panel studies.
  • Assist with developing a basic unit of product measure in our ERP system to help
  • Conduct periodic retail audits.
  • Develop content for CheerHub™, CPNA’s internal communication news source.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
  • Report any potential food safety, legality, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
