Walrus Oyster and Ale House seeks a General Manager for our National Harbor location!
Position Summary:
Restaurant Manager will direct and oversee the activities of all front of house staff in a fast paced work environment to ensure that the restaurant continues to provide an efficient, guest-oriented experience while maintaining profitable operations.
Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for all FOH staff, vendors, services
Responsible for ordering, taking inventory, and deliveries
Work with BOH managers to maintain speed and efficiency of orders
Perform daily and periodic health/safety inspections in and around restaurant
Delivers excellent customer services including personally greeting and seating guests, but also resolves guests complaints in a timely and friendly manner
Manages other work related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
College Degree or equivalency
Experience in high volume settings
Able to work evenings, late nights, weekends + holidays
Financials: able to analyze and review financial information
Leadership skills in delegating tasks, prioritizing responsibilities
Experience building, training and developing teams
Exhibit enthusiasm and passion for the restaurant industry
Able to roll with the punches, effectively prioritize + problem solve
Detail oriented and organized
