POSITION SUMMARY: BASIC FUNCTION
The HR Administrator is responsible for performing a variety of HR support functions and ensuring timely flow of information to and from the management staff. This position’s responsibilities include employee recordkeeping, new hire process/orientation, event support (HR and Corporate), recruitment support including onboarding, various administrative tasks, worker’s compensation records, and data input and reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles a wide range of HR responsibilities including employee recordkeeping, new hire orientation and packets, recruitment scheduling, HR compliance, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, and other HR administrative functions.
Participates in benefits administration, including open enrollment and new hire enrollments, data input, and answering general questions.
Organizes and maintains employee records and electronic file system to include highly confidential documents, correspondence and other records. Audits records and corrects information as necessary.
Assists with various compliance posters and reporting (e.g. EEO, OSHA, etc.); maintains records, logs, and reports.
Handles overall responsibility for maintaining inventory of uniform shirts.
Coordinates miscellaneous HR requests, such as unemployment claims, audits, child support, etc.
Gathers, reviews and compiles information and prepares accurate and comprehensive reports and surveys with deadlines attached.
Assists in preparation of a variety of communicative subject matter that may include privileged and highly sensitive material.
Composes and types routine correspondence.
Prepares reports, graphs and presentations.
Handles information of a highly confidential and critical nature.
Prepares and submits Purchase Requests as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience required.
Minimum 2-3 years of Human Resources and administrative experience.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.
Ability to hear and speak into a telephone.
Close visual work on a computer terminal.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
WORK CONDITIONS
Standard office environment.
Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must work on-site; no telecommuting permitted.
Must possess a current, valid, state-issued driver’s license and car insurance.
Must be comfortable working in a highly critical, fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
