We are currently seeking candidates who are working towards obtaining a Bachelors degree in (but not limited to) Chemical, Bio, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering for an internship during the summer of 2020.
Objective/Goal Of the Position:
1. The Intern will partner with a Senior Scientist in Frederick and other AZ groups to transfer cell feed automation technology to the Frederick Manufacturing Center.
2. Learn the associated DasGip scripting associated to the feed automation.
Deliverable: Implement automated feed for at least one feed at MS&T FMC.
Primary Duties:
1. Work closely with BPD partners at Gaithersburg to transfer automation capabilities to MS&T FMC
2. Implement bioreactors feed automation at MS&T FMC
3. Present work to department and site and the end of the intership.
Required Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of mammalian cell culture
2. Familiar with automation principles
