Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures for optimal functioning of museum's databases and reporting tools including Altru, UltraCamp, and Sharepoint.
  • Collaborate with various teams to deliver builds for admissions, camps, classes, family and school group programs, fundraising events, discounts, and support the on-site and online sale of these offerings.
  • Collaborate with management teams to streamline and simplify processes, train staff, provide/maintain user information guides and best practices.
  • Manage maintenance of records including data monitoring, cleaning, and enforcement of system best practices for data integrity and access.
  • Design and deliver regular and ad-hoc reports to various levels of management and staff.
  • Provide training and support to various teams to develop reports, tools, queries, and to support new initiatives across areas, and trouble-shoot as needed.
  • Perform data import, export, and global change system functions.
  • Monitor changes and opportunities in current systems. Be primary contact with software providers, support teams, and user groups to monitor and manage system upgrades, policy, and other changes.
  • Make recommendations on technological solutions and on business process changes that will improve efficiencies or provide greater revenue opportunities. Research, recommend, and implement system improvements as needed and as approved by the Senor Director of Membership.
 
Position Requirements

Required

  • Minimum of two years (2+) experience in relational database management including builds, queries, report design and delivery or educational equivalent.
  • Ability to define and implement data integrity practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to document procedures and articulate technical solutions to management and staff.
  • Ability to advocate for Museum needs with software providers while maintaining a positive, proactive relationship.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work independently with multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, Outlook).

Desired

  • Able and willing to embrace Museum mission of science as a way of knowing
  • Knowledge of Altru or other Blackbaud software
  • SharePoint experience
