Share Email Opening Title Manufacturing Engineer Internship  Astronics Subsidiary   Location   Description SUMMARY: Astronics Luminescent Systems Inc. (LSI) is looking for an Engineering Student for a summer 2020 Internship at our Lebanon, NH facility. This internship will support the Manufacturing Engineering department of our light industrial aerospace lighting manufacturing facility. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design tooling and fixtures to support production needs. Prototype tooling/fixtures. Create drawings of tooling/fixtures, purchase materials, and support the manufacture of tooling/fixture. Update production documentation to include use of tooling/fixture. Assist with Continuous Improvement projects. Help document current state. Work with CI team on developing a future state. Help document new current state. Other projects as needed by the Manufacturing Engineering department. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Pursuit of Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or in a related technical and/or equivalent field; Familiarity and/or experience working with a 3D CAD package (preferably SolidWorks); and experience with Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will also possess experience working in the aviation/aerospace industry working with and developing electromechanical systems.
