Description

Cogent’s Kansas City office is currently seeking an Order Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree (minimum) along with previous experience in a customer service/order entry position.

Typical duties of Inside Order Coordinator may include:

  • Reviews orders for accuracy and completion. Clarifies invalid and unclear order requirements with sales staff.
  • Enters all sales orders from Application Engineers into ERP (P-21).
  • Places orders with vendors to purchase customer orders.
  • Computes prices, shipping costs, and any appropriate discounts.
  • Handles inbound calls from customers, vendors and sales personnel.
  • Determines appropriate timing of orders to ensure timely delivery and cost savings.
  • Verifies and updates customer information.
  • Checks customer accounts for credit and outstanding payments.
  • Informs customer and/or salesmen of the shipping date and any possible delays.
  • Update project sales reports (Open Orders) with progress updates and order tracking.
  • Accurately prepares invoices in the P-21 billing system.
  • Files copies of all orders received. May scan processed documents into the document management system.
  • Adheres to productivity standards to ensure all orders are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service is KEY, will have contact with customers on a daily basis. To include handling customer complaints.

Position Requirements

Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Must have a working knowledge of personal computers including proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and Google.
  • Must be a high paced self-motivator who promotes teamwork among co-workers.
  • Must be able to multi-task such as simultaneously using telephone and computer skills.
  • Must have the general knowledge of basic mathematical computations.
  • Must have ability to sit for extended periods of time while typing and reading on the computer.
  • Experience using Epicor Prophet 21 or similar software programs preferred.

The desired candidate will also be highly motivated, willing to challenge and improve the Company's existing processes, and must be adaptable to perform other duties as needed.
