Share Email Opening Title Patient Accounting Representative  Position Patient Accounting Representative   Position Requirements Healthcare billing experience with medical office environment required. Must be comfortable with computers and using multiple software such as Microsoft office products and the Internet. Be familiar with commercial insurance networks and other payers. Must be able to communicate effectively with others and establish a good rapport with fellow coworkers and external contacts.   Description The Patient Accounting Representative coordinates primary, secondary and tertiary billing and follow up of all claims for outpatient therapy services. Ensures claims are received by payer in a timely manner, follow up with payer and process any appeals as needed until claims are finalized. Reviews any new admissions to make sure accounts are set up correctly. Looks over all payments to ensure correct posting of payments and report any errors to the payment posting rep.
