Virtual Summer Instructor - MAKE & CREATE! 

Position Requirements


  • Lead team and campers on designated creative camp activities based on your program and curriculum.
  • Lead and manage team in ensuring a warm, friendly, and fun environment for campers, parents, etc.
  • Lead and manage team on ensuring a clean and organized classroom space.
  • Lead and manage team on ensuring the safety and well-being of campers at all times.
  • Lead and manage team on adhering to The Handwork Studio mission and values


  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with your team, teaching children, communicating with parents, etc.
  • Competent in any of the following techniques but not limited to:
    • Hand-sewing
    • Embroidery
    • Machine sewing
    • Knitting
    • Crocheting
    • Weaving
    • Woodworking
    • Baking
    • Story-telling
    • Fashion Design
    • Cardboard construction
    • Leading a classroom


  • Bountiful energy to sit, stand, play, and create throughout the day.
  • At least 2 years experience working with children.
  • 2 years of leadership/management experience.
  • At least 1 years of experience in any of techniques listed in the the skills section.
  • Must have reliable transportation to arrive to shift on time.
  • Complete all required training and paperwork.
  • A passion and strong desire to work with children in a creative environment
  • Access to a smartphone and computer with camera access
  • Quiet Space to broadcast from.
  • Possess a Nurturing and compassionate with a sense of humor
  • Ability to complete approximately 15 hours of paid pre-camp training (generally throughout the month of May and early June)


  • Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
  • Maintained mental and physical alertness
  • Must have a working device with a front camera such as an phone, ipad, or preferably a computer.
