Lead Warehouser 

Description

Come join our Warehouse team as a Lead Warehouser at Woodland Park Zoo!

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate and oversee work of fellow Warehousers, as directed by the Purchasing & Distribution Manager.
  • Research products and vendors, maintain files on vendors and products.
  • Collect and properly code invoices, credit card receipts, and packing slips. Ensure that charges are accurate.
  • Provide administrative support and perform data entry in inventory database, including problem solving through issues.
  • Oversee inventory counts and communicate with staff about inventory shortages.
  • Prepare reports for supervisors and coordinate training for warehouse staff.
  • Drive forklifts - no certification needed, we'll train you!
  • Drive various vehicles (pickup truck, van, golf cart), sometimes in tight spaces.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality and record keeping in accordance with federal regulations.

When we’ll need you:

  • Shifts start at 5:30am, seven days a week.
  • This is a full-time, benefited opportunity.

  • You're a strong communicator with a focus on providing great customer service.
  • You're safety minded and comfortable working with and around heavy machinery - forklifts, cardboard bailer, electric pallet jack, etc.
  • You readily take direction and are comfortable performing detail oriented, repetitive tasks while remaining flexible and open to changing tasks.
  • You are comfortable working with hay, dust, crickets, worms, fish, blood, and dead prey animals.
