As Junior Financial Controller you will be responsible for the company's day to day financial activities. Your role combines aspects from financial accounting as well as managerial accounting. You will report to the CFO. We aren't looking for the ordinary; we are looking for the extraordinary! Think this describes you, then please keep reading:
Essential Duties
- Attention to detail is priority #1 for the accounting team at Mans. Please be prepared to support your level of detail orientation during any in-person interviews.
- Familiarity with the Ascentis HRIS technology suite will catapult you to priority #1 of candidate consideration.
- Oversee and heavily participate in the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, customer disputes and inquires, etc.
- Process payroll, including updating employee numbers, hours, garnishments, etc. Prepare payroll related reports. Record, maintain and update payroll procedures. Maintain employee records for new hires, pay changes, and terminations. Ensure corporate payroll tax compliance.
- Manage day to day treasury functions of the company.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the 401k plan, including complying with ERISA's reporting and disclosure requirements; maintaining plan records; and routine tasks such as processing election forms distribution requests including hardship withdrawals and loans. Prepare documents and work with the CPAs for the 401k audit.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy.
- Oversee the activities of the payables department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports.
- Support our CFO and respond with well thought out, accurate and timely work that proactively connects the dots.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related field
- 5+ years of experience working in an Accounting/Controller position, previous leadership/management experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with the Ascentis HRIS technology suite is a huge plus!
- Proven ability to build relationships, gain rapport quickly, and collaborate internally and externally
- Able to set and achieve goals for themselves and equally hold others accountable
- Excellent communicator in group and individual settings with the ability to influence/persuade
- Ability to flex in and out of managing multiple projects
- Have boundless curiosity and intuition, and are relentless in the pursuit of knowledge

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires up to 3% travel.
