About the Organization Red Oak Recovery, a CARF accredited program, is a premier clinically-driven therapy program for young adults and adolescents. We are here to serve clients, families, and other stakeholders through a very difficult time. Our team provides gender-specific treatment for young adults ages 18-30, and adolescent males 14-17 struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health issues. Our licensed and experienced staff provide the most clinically sophisticated and integrative substance abuse and mental health treatment available.

As a small clinically-driven program we have the ability to meet each client where they are mentally, spiritually, physically, and emotionally to design a treatment experience that is unique to them.

Description

Red Oak Recovery® centrally located in Asheville N.C., has three distinctive campuses across the Blue Ridge Mountains. We specialize in the treatment of young adult men and women, ages 18-35, and adolescents, ages 14-17, and are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program. The leadership team of Red Oak Recovery® is made up of recognized experts in the field of mental health who specialize in the integration of wilderness and experiential therapy, substance abuse, trauma, and mental health treatment. We are always looking for qualified and motivated individuals who are passionate about helping young adults and adolescents through their recovery process, to join our Red Oak Recovery® team.

 

This position is centrally located at our downtown Asheville office but will require travel to all three off-site facilities as needed.

 

The Psychologist will be responsible for the development implementation of an assessment and testing protocol for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning. This individual will work closely with the clinical teams at all 3 facilities to provide helpful information that will guide them in the development and necessary revisions of the treatment plans for each client.

Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct psychological assessments and/or tests for diagnostic purposes.
  • Collaborate in the development of an individualized treatment plan for each adolescent/young adult.
  • Educate family members on what they can do for their child or how to respond to certain behaviors.
  • Provide complete documentation and records of assessments and treatments according to in-house policies.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes and elevate team excellence within the facility.
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team to assure joint Red Oak Recovery goals are met.

 

 
Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

 

  • Ph.D. in Psychology or a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree
  • Licensed by the North Carolina Psychology Board
