The Mainframe Software Development teams play a key role in supporting and delivering applications used by internal and external customers and our internal operations teams. Reporting directly to the CTO, the role leads LERETA on a digital transformation journey. Key Responsibilities Enables delivery of increasing amounts of high-quality, on-target software Ensures cost-effective, high-quality maintenance and optimization of existing software Guides, coaches, and mentors software development teams and engineers Provides project management and technical leadership for every aspect of development Supervises architecture plus leads efforts to develop technical roadmap for all projects Establishes best practices SDLC standards and processes Conducts design and code reviews to ensure software quality in support of business goals Evaluates projects, develops, and updates schedules and supervises project status Simplifies or optimizes systems to reduce cost while improving resiliency and performance Ensures projects with multiple system dependencies are well-coordinated Works closely with stakeholders to influence and improve products Develops relations with internal customers to understand all individual requirements Manages and executes software development projects from beginning to finish Manages vendor partners to ensure cost-effective, high-quality services are provided Supervises resource allocation to ensure timely delivery while meeting personnel development goals Communicates effectively with all team members and conducts regular team meeting This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.   Position Requirements 10+ years of experience supporting applications using VSE, COBOL, JCL, Natural, and ADABAS 10+ years of experience leading mainframe teams with a best practices SDLC 10+ years of experience in software development in a financial services-related business 10+ years of hands-on experience working mainframe middleware technologies Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Development management experience with mainframe technologies Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience   EOE Statement We are an Equal Employment/ Affirmative Action Opportunity employer.
