Share Email Opening Title Local Class A Tractor Trailer Driver   Description Basic Job Function Local tractor/trailer daily; supervises job daily; loads and unloads household goods shipments up to 20,000 lbs. daily; packs shipments; inventories shipments. Maintains a good safety and claims record; meets company standards for customer satisfaction; operates tractor/trailer in an efficient and profitable manner. Position Scope Strong work ethic and dedication to customer service to ensure customer satisfaction on every job. Quality service of utmost importance. Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions 1. Responsible for quality assurance and customer satisfaction on each job done. 2. Supervises crew of two to five men daily. 3. Loads/unloads shipments. 4. Packs and unpacks shipments. 5. Inventories shipments. 6. Completes all paperwork properly. 7. Must be able to lift and carry 50-100 lbs. alone; up to 400 lbs. in a team carry. 8. Must be able to carry furniture up and down stairs. 9. Loads truck for density and safety. 10. Works office moves.   Position Requirements Minimum Job Qualifications Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience. Experience: Six months to 1-year Household Goods Experience. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations: Pass DOT physical and drug screening; Florida State Class A CDL; clean driving record. Other Minimum Qualifications: Basic literacy and math skills; good communication skills.
