Treatment is based on the belief that, through a combination of medically managed care and therapeutic intervention and education, patients can learn to effectively manage their illnesses and cope with the effects on their lives.   Location CenterPointe Hospital   Full-Time/Part-Time PRN   Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt   Shift Various Shifts   Position Pharmacy Technician   Description Under the direct and immediate supervision of a registered pharmacist, the pharmacy technician performs a variety of routine technical duties related to preparing and dispensing drugs in accordance with standard procedures and techniques. This is a PRN position, providing up to 10 hours a week with a variable schedule between the hours of 8:30 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. Morning availability is preferred but the schedule is flexible and can be established with management.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Degree or equivalent required; Completion of a formalized Pharmacy Technician training program preferred. Experience: Two years pharmacy technician experience. Psychiatric hospital experience preferred. Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR Certification and successful completion of crisis intervention prevention provided during new employee orientation and prior to assisting with restraint procedures. Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred. SKILLS: Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of use and dispensing of medications. Knowledge and ability to read and comprehend physician’s orders relating to medications and treatments. Strong interpersonal skills.
