Program Buyer Support 

Description
  • Support Purchasing program launches (multiple customers)
  • Send RFQ’s to suppliers
  • Quote compilation and evaluation
  • Complete and support supplier risk assessments, feasibility assessments, and tech reviews
  • Support sourcing activities
  • Perform other standard Purchasing activies as needed
  • Become proficient in Buyer activities
  • Transition to Buyer role in late 2020, early 2021, Role includes tasks noted above but adds;
  • Manage and become and expert assigned Commodity
  • Achieve annual savings goal
  • Support business pursuit
  • Complete ECR (engineering change request)
 
Position Requirements
  • 1-5 yrs of supply chain / purchasing experience
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, to support problem resolution
  • Possess problem solving skills to determine root cause factors (8D, 5-Why, etc.)
  • Possess analytical skills for investigating complex situations / issues
  • Ability to take ownership of issues to completion (results oriented)
  • Microsoft Office: Excel (e.g. , Pivot Tables), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
  • Comfortable working with, organizing and presenting numbers and data
  • Understand the importance of working in a team and building relationships
  • Ability to travel internationally on occasion 10-20% travel max
 
Education Requirement Bachelor's Degree in Business or Finance required.
