  • The Initial pay ranges from 13-15/hr. based on your education, experience and credentials.
  • Free RBT Training and BCaBA/ BCBA supervision hours

What You Would Be Doing

Primary job responsibility is to implement stabilization strategies utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. guide, model, and provide crisis prevention, de-escalation, intervention and post-crisis strategies to school aged consumers in need of stabilization while assisting and mentoring the assigned Behavior Technician. Receive supervision and training from behavior analytic and mental health supervisors through direct observation and team meetings. This is a Full-Time, Hourly position.

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

  • College Degree in related field (preferred)
  • Minimum qualifications: at least 2 years of college in psychology or related field plus 3 years or more of experience in the mental health field.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to complete trainings
  • Ability to perform emergency medical procedures when necessary
  • Ability to accurately document required data
  • Operates and conducts self in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to hear and speak spoken language in communication with individuals served, other staff, family members of individuals, and members of the general public
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback and constructive criticism in teaching, overall job operations
  • Ability to sustain physical restraints to meet the needs of the consumers in crisis (physically lift 40 lbs, able to squat, bend, and remain in position for long periods of time)
  • Intermediate computer skills

A successful BST is people-oriented, energetic, upbeat, flexible, hard-working, and resourceful. The BST enjoys supporting consumers with autism and related disorders, implementing behavioral techniques, and serving as a positive role model for staff.
