Essential duties and responsibilities

This job description does not imply that these are the only duties performed.   • Lead client meetings to gather business requirements, documents, and analyzes customer requirements.
  • Serve as lead on new implementation and upgrades to assigned applications.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance, support and development to assigned applications and implement new products.
  • Troubleshoot, research, and solve technically challenging problems involving integrated systems.
  • Tests and verifies software releases, upgrades and any changes prior to the promotion of code to the production environment.
  • Generate and update appropriate documentation as per policy and procedure. Including requirements, specifications, change control, end user documentation.
  • Provide education and training for application end user community - keeping them informed of new release feature/functionality, changes/revisions that impact the operation.
  • Help client stakeholders prioritize and evaluate business needs.
  • Strategic thinking related to the business process to identify issues or opportunities for improvements.
  • Serve as the primary person to liaison between IT and the department subject matter experts and functional leads during and after the implementation phase of ERP projects.
  • Elicits business requirements through detailed review and analysis of existing systems and processes. Translating these into effective ERP workflows focusing on process automation.
  • Assists in developing and documenting ERP system policies and procedures, business rules, and training materials. Prepares detailed flow-charts, diagrams, and specifications as required.
  • Responsible for coordination and documenting data conversions and module-to-module interface integrations. Develops data verification methods to ensure data integrity.
  • Reports to management on progress of the scheduling, implementation, and other activities pertinent to any assigned projects success.
  • Develop testing plans and ensure they meet client specifications, standards, guidelines, and efficiency requirements.
  • Assist in documentation of standards and methods.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
  • Must complete all required Astronics Training programs within a set time frame.
  • This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, Computer Science or similar experience.
  • 1-3 years equivalent experience.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and managing time across multiple tasks.
  • Experience in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service.
  • Experience in business process development is required.
  • Experience in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both orally and in writing is required.
  • Strong understanding of software implementation life cycle, project management, business process management, requirements definition, functional design, quality management, and change management.
  • Strong Financial module experience is a plus.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Due to federal contract obligations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Does not have any supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other positions within the organization.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

Ability and willingness for occasional business travel to divisional locations nationwide and international, upto 10%

Language Skills

Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos. Must have a proffessional demeanor and possess excellent interpersonal, customer service, multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the company.

Mathematical Skills

Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, common fractions and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must have the ability and desire to learn new technologies and increase technical skills sets.

Physical Demands *

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
