Description

Summary Objective:

The Tax Delinquency Analyst I uses delinquent tax report findings to complete Borrower Notification Letter and Proof-of-Payment (POP) production processes within established service levels and quality controls. The role assists with a timely and appropriate response to customer/audit requests.

Essential Functions:

Borrower Notification Letters

  • Oversees issuance of Delinquent Tax Notification letters within three (3) business days automated and five (5) business days manual following receipt
  • Interacts with LERETA print vendors regarding production assignments or concerns
  • Maintains and reviews production and time study logs for thoroughness and accuracy
  • Maintains volume spreadsheet by customer to reconcile Seed Letter control and ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements
  • Achieves 3.00 letter jobs per hour performance standard
  • Maintains Management Log
  • Escalates compliance or variance concerns to supervisor

Proof of Payment

  • Opens incoming mail, date-stamps and sorts within 24 hours
  • Inputs POP counts from previous workday into a daily POP Mail Log by Customer Number
  • Validates POP documentation for authenticity
  • Places stops on LERETA DTT system for valid POP and create acknowledgement letter
  • Documents invalid POP on LERETA DTT system for necessary follow-up action
  • Notifies client of BNA file errors resulting in 'undeliverable' return mail

Customer Request

  • Opens incoming mail, date-stamps and sorts within 24 hours

Customer Requests

  • Assists with compiling and responding to 'Last Know Delinquency' and other customer audit requests
  • This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

Position Requirements

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years property tax research experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Preferred Education

  • Associates Degree
  • 3-4 years property tax research experience
