Manufacturing Engineer, Pattern Maker 
Description
  • Evaluate design feasibility and work with cutting, sewing and wrapping feasibility for process
  • Pattern making through draping or vinyl placing methods
  • Be responsible to the plants for any pattern changes on programs of responsibility
  • Familiar equipment installation at manufacturing sites for CSW equip/tools
  • Safety mindset
  • Works well in a team environment both in a plant setting and lab setting
  • Able to work with pattern making software
  • Able to communicate pattern changes from the plant into robust patterns for production
  • Ability to travel to Mexico or Canada
  • Ability to sew patterns using industrial type equipment
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in equivalent similar field required
  • 1-2 years of automotive pattern making experience
  • 1-2 years of experience delivering patterns to assembly plants
  • Excellent equipment troubleshooting skills
  • Creative problem solver when it comes to patter developing
  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project
  • Familiar with IP, Console and Door soft trim or seating soft trim pattern making
  • Experience with sewing equipment in automotive
 
Education Requirement Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
