Share Email Opening Title Automation Services Product Manager  Description Summary: The Automation Services Product Manager plays a crucial role in achieving our purpose of creating lasting value for those we serve by driving the business strategy in the given territory to accelerate growth in the Rockwell Automation Authorized Service Provider (ASP) program delivered services, Core Services, and Contract Services. The Services Product Manager will be the technical liaison between Rockwell Automation and the distributor, providing marketing and commercial leadership for sales growth, responsibility for supporting the Commercial plan for the Services business and taking the lead role in developing a competency plan to ensure that support functions (inside/outside sales) are adequately prepared to maximize growth for these businesses within the defined territory. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Responsible for overall growth and success of the Rockwell Automation Services Business including Core, ASP, and Contract services. Primarily customer facing resource focusing on developing services opportunities. Develop sales competency of Product Managers and Inside/Outside Sales on new and current services offerings and strategies. Target non-traditional decision makers in our current customers. Works to ensure Van Meter and Rockwell Automation are in alignment with our Services strategy and milestones. Support the development and implementation of the services business plan for the given territory and drive the services strategy Develop customer relationships at Director level and above to successfully win Services business Participate in the development of the local automation commercial event calendar (ie: Connected Enterprise Customer Seminar, Process Seminar, Explore Expo, etc.) to promote Services, then create metrics to measure success and ensure appropriate follow-up Work closely with marketing to develop strategies and materials to promote our Services offerings both internally and externally Critical Success Factors: The Automation Services Product Manager is a critical position that requires demonstrated experience in sales, automation technologies, and services offerings Ability to commercially and financially position services within our customer base Significant knowledge of manufacturing processes and associated operations is necessary Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at a high level and build strong relationships with both internal and external customers, vendors and suppliers Must be able to lead by example and drive change Must be able to develop and execute department level strategies, initiatives and goals Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with Regional Sales Management as well as other VMI departments Ability to articulate the Rockwell Automation and Van Meter’s value proposition in the Services space both commercially and technically Ability to analyze trends, metrics, and best practices to constantly improve our services strategy Lead efforts in market making programs to drive revenue growth Ensure sufficient funnel in the Services business space to achieve plan goals Job Requirements/Specifications: Minimum 4-year degree or technical education and equivalent experience required Minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) demonstrated experience or exposure in a sales role Significant knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations required Ability to travel as it will be required, approximately 15-20% of the time.
