JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for planning and implementing internal and external communications and community relations programs in support of Hancock Regional's mission, vision, values and strategic direction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, manage and respond to the needs of Hancock Health service lines, the organization at large as well as newly developed opportunities.
  • Primary thought leader in developing and implementing channels of communications to all internal visitors, community members and partners, patients and associates.
  • Responsible for placement of all media across a wide range of media outlets; newspaper, billboard, radio, TV (as appropriate) and the point person for media communications when appropriate.
  • Oversee all outsourced advertising and advertising relationships established by the hospital.
  • Play a part in community event planning and implementation.
  • Work closely with the team leader of business development in the creation of communication initiatives to support growth.
  • The individual will strongly support the culture, engagement and leadership initiatives of Hancock Health.

Position Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare marketing communications.
  • Ancillary industry marketing communications a plus.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare markets, industry and trends required.
  • Proven experience in managing projects and implementation required.
  • Experience in marketing tactics, direct mail, CRM and other marketing communications strategies required.
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications or related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
