We are currently seeking a creative, innovative circulation coordinator (up to 20 hours/wk).

Top candidates will be creative, energetic, and innovative individuals, eager to jump into the business of keeping our newspapers in business. The Warren Group publishes three popular newspapers for real estate and finance professionals in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.

If you also have a passion for data analysis and take pride in the profit that comes from it, this is the place for you. Working with the associate publisher and managing editor, you’ll have responsibility for end-to-end creation, delivery, and oversight of campaigns designed to propel our newspapers into a new decade of helping our readers achieve their professional goals. You’ll also be responsible for customer satisfaction and retention initiatives.

The position is a good fit for a candidate with experience in digital marketing, B2B sales, and/or customer service. Previous experience with newspaper circulation strongly preferred. Knowledge of specific circulation database (Multipub) and CRM (Hubspot) preferred, but not required.

This is a great part-time job for someone with a can-do attitude, solid organization and data mining capabilities, and a passion for customer service. Local candidates preferred, remote candidates will be considered.

Position Requirements

This position reports directly to the Associate Publisher.

Responsibilities (not limited to):
Summary: Working with the Associate Publisher, functions as the point person to create, deliver, oversee, and analyze subscriber promotion campaigns for our three newspapers, as well as responsibility for customer outreach and retention efforts.

Essential Responsibilities (not limited to):
• Work with Associate Publisher to create and design circulation promotion campaigns for current and new subscribers. Oversee the execution of those campaigns and track their results.
• Maintain database of upcoming newspaper subscriber expirations and contact them re: renewal; follow up with recent and past expires.
• Contact subscribers with expired credit cards for renewals.
• Conduct subscriber satisfaction surveys (digital and phone).
• Identify and alert customers with subscriptions that are coming up for renewal at a new rate.
• Format and upload subscriber lists weekly in Hubspot.
• Extract, format, and send weekly mailing lists/press runs for newspapers.
• Track and compile daily email results for editorial and advertising in Hubspot.
• Compile daily reports from accounting.
• Compile monthly reports from circ database.
• Responsible for maintenance and management of assorted lists and reports.
• Occasionally will be asked to answer customer service phone calls.

Core Competencies (Skills, knowledge, ability required):
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of content management systems.
• Knowledge of marketing concepts.
• Knowledge of newspaper circulation management.
• Customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to read, comprehend and author business correspondence, email, memos, as well as speak English clearly to all levels of the organization as well as to outside business contacts.
• Proficiency with industry-related software, Microsoft Suite, and internet software skills

Work Schedule: Part-time, up to 20 hours per week. Some flexibility, however majority of work will be performed within normal company operating hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Remote candidates will be considered.
