Addressing the most urgent national defense challenges, STR is developing fundamentally new capabilities in cyber-physical systems modeling, vulnerability analysis, and attack detection and remediation. The Role: Work in small research teams to develop innovative cyber resilient system designs and software prototypes Apply a diverse set of advanced technologies, such as static, dynamic and/or symbolic program analyses, formal methods, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, to solve urgent cybersecurity challenges Create techniques to streamline the development of cyber resilient systems from specification to implementation Span the stack or find a niche: from developing tools for the automatic instrumentation and modification of program binaries, to automation and planning technologies to coordinate large-scale cyber operations, STR cyber programs cover a broad territory   Position Requirements Who You Are: A recent graduate with a BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field, perhaps with a few years of experience, or A mid- to senior- level engineer, perhaps with a Masters or PhD in one of the above fields Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C/C++, Java, Python, X86 Assembly, MATLAB Experience using formal modeling languages, such as SysML or UML, to specify a system architecture model and leverage model data to inform cyber analysis Motivated collaborator and effective communicator to both technical and non-technical audiences Some Other Relevant Skills You May Have: Experience applying formal methods to security applications Expertise in graph theory Detailed understanding of computer architectures STR seeks to provide an outstanding work environment for its employees with excellent benefits and competitive compensation.Full-time employees enjoy 401(k), profit sharing, health and welfare benefits, subsidies for training and conference attendance to foster continued learning and development, and a casual yet technically challenging work environment.
