Recruiting Account Manager 

Description

PURPOSE

The position, Recruiting Account Manager, is responsible for managing the coordination with operations to determine hiring needs, create sourcing plans to find and identify candidates, manage the candidate experience, completing a full and complete investigation to the candidates work and safety background, while maintaining seated truck count above 96% for assigned account(s). This position will conduct telephone conversations with driver applicants through both inbound and outbound calls with the purpose of maximizing each opportunity to influence employment with USA Truck. The individual will have complete oversight, autonomy and authority to place advertising, negotiate wages, and extend conditional job offers to candidates.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.

  • Partner with operations to evaluate business and understand business needs.
  • Maintain a seated truck count above 96% for assigned accounts.
  • Create, place, and manage job postings to source candidates.
  • Interview, gather, and analyze information skillfully to pre-qualify applicants.
  • Inform potential applicants about facilities, equipment, operations, benefits, and negotiates pay.
  • Manages a high volume of incoming and outgoing phone calls.
  • Evaluates candidates work history, safety performance, and cultural fit for candidates.
  • Negotiates wages with candidates and extends conditional offers of employment.
  • Must maintain current working knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations, and company hiring criteria.
  • Completes DOT requires investigation and audits the driver qualification file retained in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Maintain strict levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
  • Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements.

  • BA Business Management, Logistics or like discipline, or combination of education and logistics expertise, or customer service/sales experience.
  • 5 years recruiting experience, customer service or outside sales experience.
  • 3 years recruiting applicant tracking experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

Preferred Skills.

  • Transportation, sales, or recruiting experience.
  • Familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Experience with high volume of phone calls.

    WORKING CONDITIONS.

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

  • To sit, stand, stoop, kneel and occasionally move up to 20 pounds,
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis,
  • Stamina to sit for extended periods of time, lift or carry printed materials, and
  • Possess vision sufficient to read a monitor, printed text and hand written documents,
  • Be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
