Description

This individual will be responsible for manning the front desk, answering phone calls, and greeting visitors to the Cambridge community in a professional, friendly manner. Will also help with basic clerical duties and other office tasks as assigned:

  • Greeting visitors and guests in a caring, compassionate manner.
  • Allowing visitors access to the community utilizing the key card remote access and assisting them to their desired location, if not familiar with the community.
  • Answering questions regarding community information.
  • Completing community tours, answering all questions/inquiries, and communicating information to the Administrator for follow-up.
  • Handling high volume of calls in an efficient and effective manner to include, but not limited to; properly directing them to the appropriate personnel, providing general information, and maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Receiving and delivering the mail daily to residents and employee mailboxes.
  • Sending and receiving faxes, making copies, and scanning documents.
  • Creating/updating employee master phone list and resident listing.
  • Completing designated tasks during the hiring process and communicating new hires to appropriate personnel.
  • Assisting fellow team members in maintaining a clean, homelike environment that is free from hazards by tidying up spaces, cleaning up after residents and ensuring that they always look presentable.
  • Attending all mandatory staff in-services.
  • Showing up for work on time and following the appropriate call-in procedure when necessary.
  • Maintaining a high standard and professional dress attire.
  • Demonstrating a passion for quality care as evidenced by interactions with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Following rules and regulations outlined in DHS 83 and CSL Policies and Procedures that are not specifically outlined above.
 
Position Requirements

At Cambridge Senior Living, we adhere to high standards of personal integrity. We expect all employees to act with respect and responsibility towards each other and will not support any negativity.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year experience in an office setting preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience working in a healthcare office setting preferred, but not required.
  • CBRF Registry, CPR/AED certified, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia care experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to utilize a multi-line phone a plus.
  • Frequently walk, stand, squat, sit in an uncomfortable position for prolonged period, reach above shoulders or over a bed for a prolonged period, bend and kneel throughout the workday.
  • Push/pull items under 10lbs but no more than 50lbs frequently throughout the workday.
  • Lift/carry objects less than 20lbs but no more than 50lbs throughout the workday.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
