Description

One Full-time Permanent Position & One .8fte (28hr/wk) contract to March 31, 2021 (with a possibility of extension or becoming permanent)

Developmental Services Ontario Central East Region is one of 9 regional points of contact for people who apply for adult developmental services. The regional points of contact will be a single window to provide information, confirm eligibility for service, determine services and support needs and link people to services and supports in their community.

Working as a team, the Navigator is responsible for the provision of a variety of system functions within Central East Region. These include intake functions; management of the waitlist, vacancy management processes and compilation of data.

 
Position Requirements
  • BSW or equivalent in education and a minimum of three years related experience.
  • Experience working with individuals who have a developmental disability is essential.
  • French as a second language and an understanding of cultural diversity are considered assets.
  • Knowledge of the local service system and its providers are required.
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards.
  • A valid G license, appropriate business insurance and reliable vehicle are required for this position.
