JOB SUMMARY

The Test Operator will perform routine go/no-go tests of components, instruments and assemblies. Sets up test devices using automatic test methods. Documents test results. Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by the supervisor to perform tasks. Maintain logs and records indicating malfunctions. This position directly contributes to the department's and company's relationship with its customers and vendors.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Read schedules, work instructions, test manuals, performance specifications, customer requirements, and engineering drawings to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used.
  • Test functional performance of systems, subassemblies, and parts in accordance with documentation.
  • Connect unit to be tested to test equipment such as automated test equipment, signal generator, frequency meter or spectrum analyzer.
  • Read dials or digital displays that indicate electronic characteristics such as voltage, frequency, distortion, inductance and capacitance.
  • Analyze test results on defective units to determine failure state.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Per the Code of Federal Regulations (48 CFR § 252.223-7004 - Drug-free work force), this is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug tests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required

1 - 2 years of related experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
