Position summary: The Material Handler / KITTER will provide hands-on warehouse and material handling support to the Warehouse Manager. The warehouse associate will perform all shipping and receiving duties. In addition to these duties the warehouse associate will ensure production flow from material handling / kitting of new jobs to returning excess product from manufacturing back into the warehouse. Other warehouse duties they must perform are cycle counting, pallet wrapping, staging of product and quality assurance of raw material and finished goods.

 

Warehouse Job Schedule : Rotating shift

Monday -Friday 

8am- 4:30 Pm

 

 
Position Requirements

Qualifications required of the Material Handler / KITTER:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well with others and be a team player
  • *Fork truck experience required
  • *Electric Rider Pallet Jack required
  • *Narrow Aisle Reach Truck required
  • *Basic Computer literacy required
  • Essential functions and responsibilities:
  • Pull raw material and boxes from inventory for production line operators *
  • Verify box labels and skid tags* *
  • Wrap and store finished product according to specifications* *
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization* *
  • Use all material handling equipment* *
  • Complete daily pre-inspection checklists* *
  • Load and unload trucks* *
  • Perform shipping and receiving functions as required per company procedures*
  • Replenish supplies and clean area at end of shift
  • Report quality problems to necessary personnel
  • Process all paperwork on shipments, receipts, scrap, returns and or damaged goods
  • Cycle counting of raw material and finished goods
  • Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
  • Follow all documented * G* ood **M anufacturing * P ractices
  • Maintains product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems

  • Reliable attendance is required; ability to adhere to assigned work schedule is mandatory.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Able to be on your feet for the entire shift.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures
  • Non-essential skills and experience:
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position (drug test required)
  • Other duties as required

This is a non-exempt position; the Material Handler / KITTER will earn time and a half during overtime hours worked.

  • Physical demands and work environment:
  • Physical demands: * The warehouse associate job requires high levels of physical activity including bending, lifting, pushing, pulling etc. Must be able to lift cartons and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally)**
  • Work environment: Non climate controlled warehouse/loading dock*
