General Summary

Junior Program Manager will support Program Managers in executing operational plans to ensure the timely achievement of program objectives and contract performance.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports Program Managers with program requirements in terms of product design, systems and process management, project budgets, cost management, resource deployment, technical support, program/project phases, master schedules/project milestones, and all other planning activities for program implementation.
  • Provides administrative support help manage cross-functional teams supporting program requirements. Communicates program parameters, team accountabilities, reporting relationships, master schedules and critical paths for program execution.
  • Supports the creation of presentations and attends program reviews to assess cost and schedule performance and ensure the achievement of technical goals and contract commitments. Presents status reports to management including any action recommendations requiring further approvals.
  • Provides support to Program Manager by working with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality Assurance in overseeing the selection and contract performance of subcontractors providing technology, key product components and engineering services for assigned programs.
  • Supports Program Manager in their role of being the key customer contact on contract performance and customer support, for programs under the Senior Program Manager's direction.

Job Specifications
Should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline and four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have strong business analysis, project management and communication skills. Candidate must have applicable knowledge of MS Office products (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint). MS Project experience is a plus.
